EXPERTISE-RESEARCH:
After a PhD in Agro-Food Science sustained in 1995, my career as a researcher began with a post-doctorate at the Laboratory of Microbiology at Wageningen University (Netherlands). This experience both on the characterization of enzymatic activities of biotechnological interest and hyperthermophilic microorganisms gave me the opportunity to integrate in August 1997, the Biotechnology Laboratory of IFREMER in Brest. The objectives of the laboratory was the exploitation, in the frame of industrial partnership, of the collection of microorganisms built up over the oceanographic campaigns for characterization of molecules with high added value. In September 2001, I joined the « Immune Response » UMR Ifremer, CNRS, University of Montpellier 2 (now ECOSYM) team and have developed research on the characterization of the cellular and molecular immune response of oysters Crassostrea gigas and penaeid shrimp. In 2008, I took the responsibility of an Ifremer laboratory in french Polynsia whose research objectives were (i) the control of the domestication of the pearl oyster Pinctada margaritifera for genetic selection, (ii) the development of knowledge on cellular processes of biomineralization leading to the formation of a pearland (iii) on larval ecology. In September2014, I joined the RIME team of the UMR 5119 Ecosym to prepare the start of the UMR 5244 IHPE project.
